She Is Safe Run to the Dark 5K
July 21 | Duncan Regional Hospital

Come participate in a night time 5k race, with all proceeds benefitting She is Safe. She Is Safe works to prevent, rescue and restore women and girls from abuse and exploitation in high risk places around the world, equipping them to build a life of freedom, faith and a strong future.


National Day of the Cowboy

July 22 | Chisholm Trail Heritage Center


Celebrate the Chisholm Trail 150th anniversary with free admission all day with games, live band, summer exhibits, and visit with authors, Stella Dutton, who wrote "Pinto the Chisholm Pony" and Kelly Poland, of "Oklahoma Prairie Tales."



Michael Lasser Trio Theatrical Review of the Chisholm Trail

A “Broadway-style” Theatrical Review of the Chisholm Trail and Great American Songs of the West, performed and narrated by the Michael Lasser Trio. Sponsored by the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center, as part of the Chisholm Trail 150th Anniversary Celebration.



The Dehydrator Bicycle Ride

July 29 | Simmons Center


Founded in 1990, The Dehydrator has become one of Oklahoma's premier cycling events, offering distances of 10, 25, 50, 62, and 80 miles typically heading south of Duncan towards scenic Waurika Lake and back.

Consignors bring their new and gently used children's and maternity merchandise to sell. Shoppers can then browse and purchase these items at great savings, usually far below retail prices.




"Imprinting the West" - A Mid-America Arts Alliance Exhibit

Sept 1-Oct 20 | Chisholm Trail Heritage Center


This exhibit features 48 hand-colored engravings and lithographs that explore these depictions and the influence artists had on the perception of the wild west.



MidSouth Youth Rodeo Cowboys Assoc Finals

Sept 1-4 | Stephens County Fair & Expo Center


This event features rough stock and barrel racing, as well as other fun activities. Held at the Stephens County Fair & Expo Center, the MCRA finals event will wrap up with an awards presentation.



Wine'n on the Chisholm Trail

Sept 8-9 | Mainstreet Duncan


This fun, two-day festival features local Oklahoma wineries, artists, food and vendors. Stop by Wine'n on the Chisholm Trail to taste a wide variety of Oklahoma wines and enjoy live music.



Duncan Little Theatre presents "Evening of Shorts"

Once again Duncan Little Theatre offers an enjoyable evening of short, one act plays with our ever popular dessert laden intermission. Each year DLT introduces new playwrights in this unique, small venue, including local playwrights.



Oklahoma Horse Fair

The Oklahoma horse Fair will feature a trail horse and ranch horse competition, followed by a working cow dog competition. Over 200 ranch and performance horses/ponies will be auctioned for sale plus food and trade show booths will be set up around the area selling delicious treats and items.




TwoBulls Yearling Feature Futurity

TwoBulls Yearling Feature will have Duncan full of action as the field of young bulls compete for purse money and championship titles.

CTAC LIVE Concert Series featuring The Byron Berline Band

Celebrate the Chisholm Trail Sesquicentennial with Byron Berline Band. An exciting evening of traditional bluegrass and western swing music. Byron is a three time national champion fiddle player.
